Organized by local fire performers, Clinton Graybill and Alex Shelmire, the idea to gather under full moons throughout the year originated from Juan Guardiola of Chicago, where full moon jams have been running successfully for years. *Since the correct fuel type can be tricky to find, Terry Fields of The Amazing Helios, coordinated with Monarch Hardware Company (45th & Walnut St) to ensure that Coleman Camp Fuel is always in stock for every full moon gathering.
Open flame safety measures are taken seriously. Those participating have taken the proper precautions to provide a safe and fun experience for all. For questions about fire safety or how to get trained, please visit The Flow Arts Institute online.
